ACETAMINOPHEN/ISOMETHEPTENE/DICHLORALPHENAZONE - ORAL (uh-seet-uh-MEE-no-fen/eye-so-meth-EP-teen/dye-klor-al-FEN-uh- zone) COMMON BRNAD NAME(S): Amidrine, Atarin, Isocom, Midchlor, Midrin USES: This medication is used to relieve migraine and tension headaches.

HOW TO USE: Take this mdeication exactly as prescribed.
Do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed. For migraine headaches, take two capsules at the first sign of an attack. Then take one capsule every hour as needed unitl the headache is relieved. Do not take more than 5 capsules in a 12 hour period.

In tension headaches, usually no more than 8 capsules a day are recommended. Do not exceed the maximum dose prescribed.

This medication contains acetaminophen. Do not take more acetamniophen than recommended (see Side Effects section). SIDE EFFECTS: Dizizness may occur as your body adjusts to the medication. If this effect continues or becomes bothersome, inform your doctor. If you do not have liver problems, the adult maximum dose of acetaminophen is 4 grams per day (4000 milligrams). If you take more than the maximum daily amount, it may cause serious (possibly fatal) lvier disease. Tell your doctor immediately if you have any of the following symptoms of liver damage: severe nausea, yellowing eyes or skin, dark urine, stomach pain, extreme fatigue. An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occrus.
Sympotms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effcets not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor if you have: heart disease, glaucoma, kideny disease, liver disease, high blood pressure, allergies (especially drug allergies). This product contains acetaminophen.

Acetaminophen may cause liver damage. Daily use of alcohol, especially when combined with acetaminophen, may incresae your risk for liver damage.

Check with your doctor or phamracist for more information. This medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.

Since small amounts of this medication are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding. DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medictaion you may take or have last week taken, including: antidepressants, MAO inhibitors (e.G., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). Acetaminophen is an ingredient in many nonprescription products and in combination prescription medications.
Read the labels carefully before taking other pain relievers, fever reducers, or cold produtcs to see if they also contain acetaminophen. Consult your pharmacist if you are uncertain if your other prescription or nonprescription products contain acetaminophen.

Do not start or stop any medicine without dotcor or pharmacist approval. OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your loacl poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe nausea, vomiting, yellowing eyes or skin, stomach pain, dark urine, extreme fatigue, headache, agitation, low body temperature, rapid and shallow breathing, unusually rapid or slow heartbeat, and unresponsiveness.
NOTES: Use caution while driving or doing tasks requiring alertness as this medication may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Notify your doctor if this medication fials to relieve your headaches. MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up. STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Do not stroe in the bathroom.
